Yasmine Beck is a postdoctoral researcher at ESSEC Business School, specializing in bilevel and robust optimization. Before joining ESSEC, she was a research and teaching assistant at Trier University, where she also completed her PhD with a dissertation titled "Mixed-Integer Optimization Techniques for Robust Bilevel Problems with Here-and-Now Followers". Her research focuses on mathematical modeling and developing solution algorithms for optimization problems at the second level of the polynomial hierarchy.

  • June 25, 2025: I am extremely proud and honored to have received the EURO Doctoral Dissertation Award (EDDA) 2025 for my PhD thesis "Mixed-Integer Optimization Techniques for Robust Bilevel Problems with Here-and-Now Followers" at the EURO2025 conference in Leeds, UK. Moreover, I am grateful to have received the EURO Award for the Best EJOR Paper (EABEP) 2025 (Category Review) for "A Survey on Bilevel Optimization Under Uncertainty" (jointly with Ivana Ljubić and Martin Schmidt).
